ADVANCED ABACUS PROGRAM
(Level 7 to 8)

Achieving Mastery in Mental Maths and Confident Problem Solving

The Advanced Abacus Program (Level 7 & 8) at Think Abac is designed for children who are ready to achieve high-level mastery in mental mathematics. At this stage, students move beyond routine calculations and learn to handle complex numerical problems with speed, accuracy, and confidence.

This program strengthens a child’s ability to think independently, apply logic under time pressure, and approach advanced mathematical concepts with clarity. It is the final stage of the abacus learning journey at Think Abac and prepares students for long-term academic success.

Who Is This Program For?

The Advanced Abacus Program is ideal for children aged 9 to 12 years.

This program is best suited for students who:

  • Have successfully completed intermediate abacus levels

  • Are comfortable working with multi-digit numbers

  • Show readiness for complex calculations

  • Want to improve speed, accuracy, and mental strength

At this age, children are capable of abstract thinking and advanced logic, making it the right time to refine mental calculation skills.

What Children Learn in This Program?

In the Advanced Abacus Program, children work with high-digit calculations and advanced operations. They practice complex addition and subtraction involving large numbers, followed by advanced multiplication and division techniques using the abacus and mental visualisation.

Students are introduced to negative numbers, squares of numbers, LCM, and HCF, helping them build strong mathematical reasoning. Regular mental maths activities, speed writing, oral sums, and worksheet practice reinforce learning and improve accuracy under time limits.

This stage focuses heavily on mental visualisation, enabling students to calculate confidently without physical tools.

1.Addition & Subtraction of numbers (6-digit, 7-digit, 5 & 6 digits)

2. Multiplication (2D *2D, 3D* 2D, 4D*2D)

3. Division (3D\1D, 4D\1D, 3D\2D, 4D\2D, 5D\2D, 6D\2D, 4D\3D, 5D\3D)

4. Negative numbers

5. Squares of numbers

6. LCM & HCF

7. Speed writing

8. Oral sums practice
